What started as a gesture to help individuals turned into her passion and profession. She quit her job when at the peak of her career to take this up full time Style Tangent was founded by Kavitha Lakshmi Manevannan in 2014, initially just with the idea of bringing to the forefront well qualified and deserving candidates who were facing rejection just because “He/She couldn’t fit in.” With time, her clientele included professionals, highly qualified women who wanted to make a comeback after a sabbatical, celebrities & sports personalities. Clients came to her with gaps in other areas like Finance, Career Growth, Relationship issues, Health & Fitness. That’s when Lifebook happened. Lifebook is a holistic transformational lifestyle design system that empowers you to ENVISION, PLAN & ACHEIVE your very best life (on your own terms).
Well, I’d like to stay struggles and challenges are more things of the past with me. They no longer haunt me nor distract me. This does not mean I am immune to challenges. One does come across stumbling blocks occasionally. The word “Crisis” in Japanese has “danger” and “opportunity.” My strategy is to firstly take care of the danger and then look for the opportunities that come along with it. The recent pandemic affected us just like the millions across the world. After the initial phase of coming to terms with it, we worked towards moving our offline operations — online. This has turned out to be one of my best decisions professionally, where we are accessing people globally, enabling exponential growth.

Tell us about your social initiatives?
I work with underprivileged girls from tier 2 and 3 cities of India and enable them to take on a life in a city/metro where they have to migrate for higher education/career. I work with women who have been on a sabbatical from their career (marriage/childbirth etc) going through depression and loss of identity, helping them rediscover themselves. This not only empowers them but changes the entire economy and future of those families.
What is your business success mantra that you have embraced as you sought to establish your success story”?
Whenever struck by challenges, I used them as vehicles to transform me from a WOMAN to WARRIOR, from VICTIM to SURVIVOR!!!

Initially, apart from my clients in India, I had selective clients who were NRIs. Today, I have a client base in the USA, Canada, Dubai, Australia, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Hong Kong, and Singapore.
Some of my clients are at Google and the Silicon Valley, and students I’ve worked with are at places like Columbia University in leadership roles leading international students. I have successfully trained over 17000 people and coached more than 3700 clients globally to date.
I have been privileged to be honored with Womanpreneur of the Year Award 2021 and Indian Achiever’s Award for Outstanding Professional Achievement and Contribution in Nation Building 2021-2022.
