Describe your experience and career as an individual and business owner. Tell us about your many endeavors.
I’m a communications professional, a podcast producer, a host, and communications trainer with a background in organizational behavior. I run a boutique communications consultancy, which helps organizations with communications and creative strategy, whitepapers & articles, podcast storyboarding, and podcast production. We’ve worked with organizations like the Government of India’s Citizen Engagement Platform- MyGov India, UL, Roundtable India, and a few organizations overseas for podcast storyboarding and strategy, and designed communication initiatives for entities like NASSCOM, EO and UL, among others. My flagship podcast, Voice of Achievers (VoA), combines thought leadership with practical work-life themes to help young professionals thrive.

My academic background lies in Psychology and HR, and I have over 13 years of experience in editorial and communications. My corporate journey included roles at organizations such as IBM, Network 18, and NASSCOM. Currently, I also Head Projects at Canvas.Space, a USA-based tech company dedicated to revolutionizing the creator economy by enabling creative businesses to micro-monetize their work.

If you had to start over, which professional path would you choose—corporate work or entrepreneurship—and why?

My corporate experience, including my time at IBM, and management experience at organizations like The Tata Group, Network 18, The Birla Group, provided a strong foundation for my later entrepreneurial ventures. The discipline and professional ethos gained in the corporate world laid a robust groundwork for my entrepreneurial pursuits. If I were to start over, I’d follow the same path. In today’s rapidly evolving professional landscape, both corporate and entrepreneurial experiences contribute to growth. Adaptability and flexibility are key!

Describe the toughest hurdle you have faced in your professional life and how you overcame it.
The most significant challenge was transitioning from a corporate career with a clear trajectory to the uncertainties in the world of freelancing, consulting, and thereafter, entrepreneurship. It required a mental shift and a period of self-exploration. It was more a mental hurdle than anything else, and it took time to fully embrace this change.

Can you describe the brand of your initiative BATTLE OF VOICES and your role?
The Battle of Voices was born from a casual conversation about podcasts with Dr. Amit Nagpal and Mr. Devendra Jaiswal. We decided to experiment with the idea of a podcast competition open to everyone, with a special focus on students and working professionals. This joint initiative by Bloggers Alliance and Voice of Achievers aimed to bring podcast storytelling to the forefront. Our virtual competitions for the first two editions received excellent participation, even from neighbouring countries. With the support of partners like Jio Institute, Spotify India, and The Delhi Audio Factory, we took the event to the physical realm for the third edition in September 2023. As the first National Podcasters Competition, we’re proud of our successful third edition, but we believe there’s much more to achieve in the future; and miles to go before we sleep!

Describe your social projects for us.
I serve as the President for WICCI Entrepreneurship and Start-ups for Gujarat. Additionally, I’m part of the leadership team at Roundtable India (Pune), a global organization dedicated to building schools and providing better educational facilities to underprivileged communities.

What is your success mantra that you have embraced as you sought to establish your success story?
Opportunities can come from the wildest and strangest places. Grab them and do your best. They can lead you to a whole new world. You learn loads.

A specific saying or message for all groups or brands.
In the words of Professor Dumbledore, as originally penned by J.K. Rowling, “Life is about the choices you make far more than your abilities.”

Any further happy experiences or accomplishments you’d like to share with the world.
“None. Sticking to any one accomplishment or setback makes it hard to move on and move forth.
